De nominaties voor de Golden Globes 2025 zijn bekendgemaakt en de film Emilia Pérez staat bovenaan met maar liefst 10 nominaties. De film, een musical, geregisseerd door Jacques Audiard, werd geprezen tijdens het Filmfestival van Cannes en is nu de grote favoriet voor de aankomende prijsuitreiking.
Niet ver achter Emilia Pérez volgt The Brutalist, een drama van A24 over de worstelingen van een Hongaarse architect. Conclave, de film over een conflict tijdens een pausverkiezing, ontving ook vele nominaties, waaronder Beste Acteur voor Ralph Fiennes en Beste Actrice in een bijrol voor Isabella Rossellini.
Andere films die vier of meer nominaties ontvingen zijn Anora, Challengers, A Real Pain, Wicked en The Substance van Coralie Fargeat, die onder andere werd genomineerd voor Beste Regisseur en Beste Actrice in een Komedie of Muziekfilm (Demi Moore).
